Lohan sues over Grand Theft Auto V
Lindsay Lohan is suing the makers of the Grand Theft Auto video games as she has accused them of using her image without permission.
The Mean Girls actress says the latest instalment, Grand Theft Auto V, used her image and created a character based on her without her permission and has filed a lawsuit against them.
Her lawsuit was filed on July 2 in a Manhattan court, but Grand Theft Auto V game maker Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and subsidiary Rockstar Games declined to comment.
Grand Theft Auto V was released in September and its sales topped $800 million on its first day.
Lindsay's suit says a character named Lacey Jonas is an "unequivocal" reference to her.
The suit says Lindsay's image, voice and styles from her clothing line are depicted, and that the game features West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, where she once lived.
The character also seeks help avoiding paparazzi in the game.
