Longoria: I’m not engaged
Eva Longoria has denied claims that she is engaged to boyfriend Jose Antonio Baston, insisting she has no idea where the rumours came from.
The former Desperate Housewives actress took to Twitter to insist that claims she would soon be walking down the aisle were not true. Eva’s denial comes after Mexican journalist Rene Franco reported on show La Taquilla that the 39-year-old star and 46-year-old television network president Jose would wed “at Nayarit Beach in Mexico on February 2015”.
However, Eva was quick to assure fans the engagement reports are entirely untrue.
“Why is everyone saying I'm getting married?? #NotTrue #WhereDidThatComeFrom?” she wrote on Twitter.
Eva has been married twice before – to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004, and to basketball player Tony Parker from 2007 to 2010.
Meanwhile, Jose has also been married previously, to actress Natalia Esperon. He also has three children from the marriage.
Eva and Jose first started dating a year and a half ago.
The actress has done her utmost to keep the relationship private. However, she did speak briefly about her beau during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April.
"He's a good dresser," she said. "I always have to step it up. It's exhausting."
She also opened up about the romance during an interview with Parade magazine earlier this year, telling the publication she feels “very lucky” with her love.
“You know, in general I’m attracted to humour and intellect in a man,” she revealed. “Let me tell you, I’m very lucky in my life.”
Jose was formerly one of the most sought-after bachelors in Latin America, as he is the president of Televisa – Latin America’s largest media company.
