Jennifer Lopez has admitted that working on American Idol left her feeling worn out.
The 41-year-old singer, actress and mother to three-year-old twins Max and Emme, who recently split from her husband Marc Anthony, has been comfirmed to return to the judging panel for the 11th season. But she had previously been unsure and People reports she admitted at a news conference in Savannah she had found it hard.
J Lo said: "I got a little bit tired at the end with everything going on in my life at the time."
But she added that she had realised that American Idol was "one of the best things I've ever been involved with" and that she enjoyed working with the contestants, fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler and host Ryan Seacrest.
She said: "I was like 'OK I'm gonna do it again.'"
J Lo said in June: "I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year."
The star was often moved to tears on the show and confessed: "You definitely get involved, I definitely get involved. I am very emotional as you can see from the show. That's just how I am."
American Idol begins its new season on January 22, 2012.
