Jennifer Lopez and estranged husband Marc Anthony have been pictured together in the Hamptons, sparking rumours of a reunion.

But the couple - who married in 2004 and announced their split less than a month ago - were meeting up so Marc could spend time with their three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Marc's representative told People: "The intention was to spend time with his kids Emme and Max, and they had a beautiful time. He's been with Max and Emme a few times now."

The couple were pictured together in the back seat of a red Mustang convertible near Sagg Main Beach in Southampton, leading to speculation about the status of their relationship.

J-Lo, 42, has told Vanity Fair magazine Marc will "always hold a special place in my heart."

But she added: "Sometimes we don't realise that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that the person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."

She said what she and Marc did well together was work.

They will continue to work together on their previously announced television show, Q'Viva! which begins filming in the autumn in South America.
