Jennifer Lopez says she felt her marriage to Marc Anthony ended in a flash.
Jennifer and the Latin musician were married for seven years before announcing their separation back in 2011, with Marc filing for divorce last April.
The 43-year-old singer and actress told The Mirror newspaper that she even found it hard to get out of bed following the split.
"It was very hard to get up in the morning," Jennifer recalled.
"Very hard. When you're depressed and sad all the time it's very difficult.
"I felt like my whole life had fallen apart. What I had known for seven or eight years with my children and everything, it was just... boom! An explosion!"
The couple have both gone on to date other people, with Jennifer currently seeing 25-year-old dancer Casper Smart.
But she credits she and Marc's children, four-year-old twins Emme and Max, with helping her get through the split.
"It was really painful but the kids give you a certain strength because you cannot completely fall apart because they're up at six in the morning and everything's fine and normal for them," she said.
