Lovato: Tough to replace Spears

Demi Lovato would love Lady Gaga to join the US X Factor panel

Demi Lovato has admitted it will be tough to replace Britney Spears on US X Factor.

The actress and singer shared the judging panel with the pop princess during the last season of the singing show, but Britney has now confirmed that she will not be returning for another series.

Talking about possible replacements, Demi told E! News: "I don't know. I mean, who can replace Britney, let's be honest."

Demi and Britney both joined the panel last year alongside Simon Cowell and record executive LA Reid, who has also announced that he will not be returning to the show, leaving two vacant seats.

According to Extra, Demi is hoping to see another music superstar fill one of those chairs - Lady Gaga.

"I would love to see Lady Gaga. I don't know if that is possible or not," she said.

Demi was speaking at the grand opening of Topshop's Los Angeles store, where she didn't let a broken leg get in the way of her style.

The singer sported a silver-studded, black brace on her injured leg as she performed to hundreds of fans at shopping centre The Grove.

After limping onto the stage with the aid of crutches, the 20-year-old sang Give Your Heart A Break to the cheering crowd.

Afterwards, she said Topshop was "her favourite brand since I was like 15 or 16 years old".
