Love Hewitt bemused by breastfeeding

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt wants to give birth before she gets married.

The actress is currently expecting her first child with her fiancé Brian Hallisay. Although the brunette is taking pregnancy in her stride, the prospect of dealing with a hungry baby is overwhelming.

"Learning the breastfeeding of it all sounds a little daunting," she told Celebuzz. "It’s so different for every woman that they can write a lot about it; but it can’t really come with an instruction manual so you just sort of have to figure it out and hope that the latching and all of that happens."

Jennifer was also quizzed on her wedding plans. The 34-year-old star is due to give birth in December and has no plans to walk down the aisle before then.

“We’re gonna tackle that, get in that groove first and then we’ll do the wedding," she explained, adding she wants to be a “cute” bride.

Jennifer has decided not to find out the sex of the baby before it is born and is “excited” about keeping it a surprise.

She has relished pregnancy so far and is keeping active with regular yoga and swimming sessions. Despite looking in great shape while attending the Pampers Love, Sleep and Play Campaign in New York on Wednesday, she admits to indulging her cravings for cupcakes and Mexican food.

“[Being pregnant] is an awesome thing,” the actress told PEOPLE. “It definitely has its moments where you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh this is crazy,’ but it’s been beautiful.

“I’ve actually worked out more pregnant than when I wasn’t. I’ve been working out about five to six days a week. I do a lot of swimming, Pilates, yoga - all good stuff for baby and for me. It gets difficult the bigger you get because it’s more uncomfortable, but it’s important.”
