Lowndes on TV family

Jessica Lowndes will always have a "special place in her heart" for the 90210 cast.

The actress played Adrianna Tate-Duncan in the popular teen drama, which ended with the last episode of the fifth series this year.

Moving on from the show will be difficult for the 24-year-old brunette.

"I'll definitely miss it. I grew up on that show and they were my first TV family," she told British magazine Star.

"It was five years of my life so it's really weird because I go back every July to shoot the next series. It was almost like a back-to-school feeling and this year was my first July away. Filming in Malaysia kind of made up for it and it was time for us all to move on to something new. But I'll always have a special place in my heart for all of my 90210 friends."

Luckily Jessica has been keeping herself busy to take her mind off the series coming to an end.

Her latest venture, Eden, also stars Diego Boneta and Ryan Mulkay and has a 2014 release date.

"I've just finished filming a movie called Eden in Malaysia. I was there for six weeks and got back last night," she shared.

"It was such an incredible experience and such a difficult role to play. I also shot another film straight after we'd finished filming 90210. It's called Larry Gaye, it's a comedy about a relegated flight attendant. We had an amazing cast."
