The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh has said Lauren Goodger's departure won't cause the show any damage.
Lauren has been with the ITV2 reality programme since it first aired in 2010, and is apparently quitting to star in the next series of Dancing On Ice.
Lucy - who has had run-ins with Lauren in the past - said: "People have come and gone throughout the last few series anyway and we've always carried on.
"The viewers have gone up every series anyway, so I don't think it will have a massive impact on the show to be honest. We always get some new faces each series so I'm sure there'll be someone new next series."
She added: "Me and Lauren weren't the best of friends as everyone knows, but we were civil with each other."
Lucy, who is engaged to co-star Mario Falcone, said she has no plans to quit the show.
"I think everyone gets to the stage where they think that's all they can give, and at the moment I'm happy where I am - the show's getting bigger and bigger. I'm not sure for how much longer, but at the moment I'm happy," she said.
"There's a lot of positives and a few negatives which come with it, I love the events, the photo shoots, I've got my boutique which is amazing, that was my dream and I never thought I'd achieve that by the age of 20. Obviously you have a few negatives which come from being in the public eye but there's more positives than negatives."
