Danielle Armstrong was "really shocked" when Lydia Bright and James 'Arg' Argent slept together recently, because she thought their relationship was "finished".

Lydia Bright and ex-boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent did sleep together while filming the recent TOWIE special in Marbella, Danielle Armstrong has revealed.

It was recently claimed the on-off couple had once again rekindled their love while the cast of the ITVBe reality show shot in Spain. And as she appeared on Celebrity Juice on Thursday night (06Oct16), Lydia's BFF confirmed the news, admitting her pal had slipped by indulging in a night of passion with her former beau.

"When we were in Marbella, they slept together again," Danielle said. "I was honestly really shocked, I couldn’t believe it because I thought it was kind of finished now."

However, Danielle admitted it doesn't mean Lydia and Arg are back together, adding: "Apparently it was a mistake on Lydia’s behalf."

When co-host Holly Willoughby remarked, "That’s a bit naughty though, he really loves her," Danielle replied, "He really loves her and it’s really sad, I love Arg. It’s really hard when you’re altogether on holiday, there’s drink involved, your exes are there…

"I think he might have been talking to someone else and there was a little bit of… I don’t know. Anyway, they ended up sleeping together."

Arg and Lydia's relationship has been on and off since the show began back in 2010. According to reports, Arg's love of partying caused problems with Lydia, but she decided to take him back after he went to rehab when he failed a drugs test in 2014 and was suspended by TOWIE bosses.

The romance once again failed to last though, and Lydia split from Arg just before the new series started filming in April (16), blaming another relapse on the break-up and insisting it was "for good" this time.

"It was a tough decision to make but I felt like I didn't have a choice. I'm stronger and happier now," Lydia said during an interview on Lorraine in May (16). "I've just been away to Indonesia and I've come back a lot more positive and strong and looking forward to the future."
