Lydia Bright confirms James Argent's return to TOWIE

Lydia insists her former beau isn't behind her decision to leave the reality TV show.

Lydia Bright has confirmed her ex-boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent is to return to The Only Way is Essex now he's in a "good place".

The reality TV star has taken a break from filming the ITV2 show to focus on his wellbeing, recently visiting a Thai rehab centre to recuperate.

But he's now ready to make a comeback after missing episodes in last year's (16) series, the 2016 Christmas specials and the most recent season.

"From what I've heard from him, he is in a good place and he is doing really well," Lydia, who dated James on and off since she was a teenager up until May 2016, told The Sun Online.

"He is returning to TOWIE. That's a good thing for him. I do wish him the best even though there's not a future for us. I want him to be happy and I want him to be in a good place."

Lydia, 27, recently announced that she's leaving the programme having starred in it since it started back in 2010, with rumours James, 29, was behind her departure. The blonde beauty insists that isn't true though and is adamant the former couple are on good terms.

"I have not left TOWIE because of James," she noted. "We have a laugh about it. We are friends but we are not overly friendly. It's every now and then. There's no hard feelings.

"When we first broke up there was so much anger and hate and I was broken with it all.

"But time is the best healer. You just need to move on. You need to let go as time has gone on."

She also revealed that her family "mourned" the loss of James too, though respected her decision.

Lydia's mother Debbie, a regular on TOWIE, has also revealed she will leave the show when her daughter does.
