Mad Men frocks go under the hammer
One of January Jones' Mad Men costumes is being auctioned for charity.
A teal evening gown she wore while playing Betty Draper in the glossy US series is among the lots in an official Mad Men 10-day auction on eBay, to raise money for research into and the treatment of lung cancer.
Lots also include vintage 1960s furniture and props from the show's Sterling Cooper advertising agency, as well as three dresses worn by Mad Men's leading ladies, according to People.com.
As well as Betty's evening gown, which she wore while visiting the Stork Club, the metallic brocade dress Bobbie Barrett wears on a night out with Don and the green frock that curvaceous Joan wears in the lawn-mower episode are also on sale.
The online auction will raise money for work done to combat lung cancer by cancer centre City Of Hope in the US.
"This auction offers Mad Men fans an exciting new way to connect with the series while helping to support City Of Hope's important work in research and treatment of lung cancer," said Sandra Stern, Chief Operating Officer of TV at Mad Men producer Lionsgate.
