Mad Men’s Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser’s wedding planning will be a joint effort.

The stars of the popular show announced last month they were engaged after around a year of dating.

With the wedding going ahead in the near future, Alexis and her beau will be doing the bulk of the hard work as a team.

"We're doing it together," she smiled to Us Weekly.

"We haven't started yet though."

Vincent proposed to his beautiful bride-to-be with a round-cut diamond, set in a classic platinum band.

The pretty brunette has been showing off the ring proudly since their engagement was announced.

"Vincent picked it out," she smiled.

The co-stars have enjoyed a romance on screen as well as in real life; Alexis played the mentally imbalanced mistress to Vincent’s advertising executive character Pete Campbell in the US show.

Despite being so close, Vincent admitted he is still getting used to being engaged.

"I keep saying girlfriend," he smiled. "And then I'm like, 'I mean, my fiancée!’ I'm a very lucky man."

Vincent has dated actress Rachael Leigh Cook in the past while Alexis is no stranger to being romanced by a co-star.

The former Gilmore Girls actress was with her on-screen love interest Milo Ventimiglia for more than three years.

It will be the first marriage for both Alexis and Vincent.
