Maggie Gyllenhaal 'urges Jake to settle down'
Jake Gyllenhaal's sister Maggie is reportedly putting pressure on him to find the right woman and settle down.
The 32-year-old actor has been largely single since splitting from Reese Witherspoon in 2009, although he is in the early stages of a romance with model Alyssa Miller, 24.
Maggie, 35, has two daughters with her husband Peter Sarsgaard, who she's been with since 2002. She apparently feels that her brother should take a leaf out of her book when it comes to relationships.
"Maggie doesn't think Jake is being serious about his life. She thinks he's acting frivolous and he needs to work harder to find true happiness like she has," an insider told National Enquirer.
Although Jake understands his sister's concerns, he doesn't feel ready to follow in her footsteps. The actor was extremely affected by his split from Reese, who went on to marry Hollywood agent Jim Toth.
"It was a real kick in the stomach to Jake [when they split]," the source explained. "He thought they were going to get married and spend their lives together."
Following their breakup, Jake enjoyed brief romances with Taylor Swift and Minka Kelly. Maggie apparently feels he is dating the wrong women and needs to look to his past if he wants to be happy. She is adamant the right person for him is his ex-girlfriend Kirsten Dunst - even thought she is dating Garrett Hedlund at the moment.
"Maggie's always pushing Jake to give Kirsten a call," the source explained. "And while Jake loves his sister, he insists that he's perfectly happy being out there on the dating circuit."
