Maisie Williams won't leave home until her teenage friends do.

The 17-year-old actress has achieved a great deal for her age, enjoying a role in TV hit Game of Thrones as Arya Stark.

While it might make sense for her to move to London, UK, where most of the British actors live, Maisie is reluctant to relocate until her same-aged friends leave for university.

"I feel like I'm coming to the end of one chapter and when I move away from home I'll be going into the next one," she explained to the British edition of Glamour magazine.

"I just don't want to be the first person to do it, so I'm just going to hold out until everyone else has left and then I'll be like, 'I guess I'll go to London, then.'"

While she's hesitant about taking that step, there are others she can't wait for. Travelling for work means many nights spent in hotels - but Maisie can't stay at them if she's not accompanied by an adult.

“You’re not allowed to stay in a hotel room on your own if you’re under 18,” she sighed. “I used to bring an older friend but then I would go to pay for the room and they’d say, ‘You can’t do that either.’ I understand there has to be a rule but it’s frustrating when I’m working in London and have my own money, but I can’t stay because I’m not the right age. I’m not going to trash the room! I just want a place to stay.”

Luckily there's not long to wait - Maisie turns 18 on April 15.
