The actress is open to whatever comes her way, but she is not forcing a relationship.

Malin Akerman has no immediate interest in dating, insisting she is focusing on her son.

The Watchmen star and Italian musician Roberto Zincone divorced in 2013 after six years of marriage. The couple share three-year-old son Sebastian, and the actress insists her world revolves around.

"I can't breathe without him," she tells People.com. "I feel like I just had him, and now he's talking back to me. He's my absolute... He's so much fun, he's amazing."

Malin explains she is not opposed to embarking on a new relationship, but she is not actively seeking one.

"I'm just focusing on my son and work," she says. "If somebody comes along, then, fantastic. And if not, fantastic."

Following her split from Roberto, Malin opened up about her difficult year in 2014, revealing how being a mother helped her through the tough times.

"My truest love (Sebastian)... As I reflect upon this past year, I can't help but think about all the ups and downs... everything that helps us grow as human beings. No matter how painful, no matter how joyful, life is a miracle! It is beautiful.

"And the fact that I have this little life to enjoy it all with brings me the biggest joy ever!! I am beyond #thankful for everything that I have been given."

The actress now has a more laid back attitude and is ready for whatever comes her way.

"I always feel like the more you try to control anything, the worse it gets," she says. "So I'm just going with the flow."

Earlier this year (16), Malin was linked to Francis Cardinale, but is seems the couple has parted ways.
