Mangan's transatlantic comedy worry

Stephen Mangan is getting ready to film the third series of Episodes

Episodes star Stephen Mangan has revealed he worries about how to make the show funny on both sides of the Atlantic.

The show, which also stars Tamsin Greig and Matt LeBlanc, has been successful in both the UK and the US, but Stephen said he isn't sure of the reason why.

"I've fretted about how you make Americans laugh. How do you make someone laugh in Tallahassee and Milton Keynes? I just make myself laugh and hope the rest follows," he said.

Stephen plays comedy writer Sean Lincoln in the show, which gently pokes fun at Hollywood stereotypes.

Speaking at the Elton John Aids Foundation Oscar viewing party, the actor said he was looking forward to filming the third season in June.

"I haven't seen the scripts yet, I hope I'm still in it," he joked.
