Mario Lopez wants huge brood

Mario Lopez

Mario Lopez is hoping his wife Courtney will be up for having more children after her current pregnancy.

The 39-year-old has a two-year-old daughter named Gia with his wife Courtney and plans on expanding his brood.

However, the former Saved by the Bell actor admits he is tricking his spouse into wanting more children.

“I always treat her like a princess, but it goes up a whole ‘nother level when she’s pregnant just because it feels so good,” he confessed to America’s OK! magazine. “I want to treat her so well when she’s pregnant that she doesn’t mind being pregnant because I want to keep expanding the family. I want as many kids as my wife will give me.”

The X Factor USA host got married last December and his family is certainly shaping up.

Even his little girl is preparing to become a carer when the new addition arrives.

“We keep telling her that she’s going to be a big sister, she’s going to have to take care of it, ‘It’s your baby,’ and try to get her involved,” he admitted.

“We don’t know what we’re having, so we say, ‘You’re going to be a big sister.’ We don’t know if she’s having a brother or sister. We’ll find out in September.”

As well as preparing for the return of America’s The X Factor with Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio, Mario is rather busy at the moment.

However the star, who also presents American entertainment show Extra, is enjoying the healthy balance between career and family.

“I’ve always been a big family guy,” he admitted. “I’m close to my parents and siblings. I’m all about family. Starting my own family is awesome. Right now I couldn’t be happier both professionally and personally in my life.”
