Mark Ruffalo gave two young fans $100 after they returned his lost cell phone and wallet.

The Spotlight star was just one of the New York residents caught up in Storm Jonas - when a blizzard swept the streets of the Big Apple.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday (23Jan16), Mark revealed he had lost two of his most precious belongings in the snow, and pleaded with fans to help him locate it.

"APB (all-points bulletin) out for a cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard. My drivers license is in there. Reward and signed pic," he wrote to his 2.1 million followers.

Just four minutes after thanking fans for their help, he took to Twitter to announce his belongings had been found.

"OMG (oh m God) It was just found! That was freaking fast. Thanks for helping me find it!!" he posted.

He then tweeted a photo of himself with those who had found his wallet and phone, and wrote, "Thank Amenaide and Catherine Brown for finding my phone and wallet! Thanks Brown family for your decency!"

The girls had been walking home from eatery the Shake Shack with their mother when they discovered the wallet in the snow, according to TMZ.com.

They didn't recognise the name of the Oscar-nominated actor from his driver's license, so decided to try and get some more information about his identity from the phone.

While the phone was locked, someone texted Mark while it was in the possession of Amenaide and Catherine, leaving their number in the process.

According to the outlet, they then phoned that number and after a series of calls, got in touch with Mark's publicist, who told the actor that his items had been found.

The girls' father Peter Brown told TMZ.com that Mark later dropped round to their house to pick up the phone and wallet, and gave the duo $100 and a promise of a signed Hulk picture for their time.

Peter added Amenaide and Catherine are planning to spend their money at a candy shop, on bubble gum and peanut M&M's.
