Mark Wahlberg leaves teenage daughter embarrassed with live rap
Ella Wahlberg soon regretted asking her father to rap during a live radio show when he rapped "if you keep misbehaving I'm a give your behind a slap".
Mark Wahlberg's daughter was left red-faced and cringing after the actor launched into a rap during a live radio interview on Wednesday (21Sep16).
Mark was being interviewed on The Dan Patrick Show to promote his new movie Deepwater Horizon, with 13-year-old Ella tagging along for the ride.
After being invited on to interview him as well, Ella said: "Dad, I want to hear you rap right now!"
Mark enjoyed success as his previous incarnation Marky Mark, the leader of American hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. The group were active from 1989 to 1993, with their biggest hit being Good Vibrations.
When host Dan offered to give Mark some time to come up with a rap, the actor replied: "No, no, no. I got a rap right now."
He then launched into one, rapping: "I'm your 45-year-old father and I got to rap / and if you keep misbehaving I'm a give your behind a slap."
Video footage of the moment shows Ella sitting open-mouthed as Mark continued with his rhyme, before using her hand to indicate Mark should end the rap there.
"It's called a spanking / Later on in life you're gonna thank me / 'Cause all the advice that I'm giving you is good for you/ and if not, your butt and behind is gonna be black and blue," Mark rapped.
Ignoring his daughter's call to cut the rap, Mark told her: "Don't cut it down. We're giving you positive-encouragement raps. It's good information to help you behave, and then you're going to earn that phone back, girl!"
An unimpressed Ella gave her father a steely glare, with her phone confiscation appearing to be a sensitive subject.
Ella, one of Mark and wife Rhea Durham's four children, has been left embarrassed by her father on more than one occasion. Back in 2015, she was pictured looking mortified as her parents enjoyed a passionate embrace for the Kiss Cam at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
