Matt Bellamy: Son takes after funny Hudson

Matt Bellamy

Matt Bellamy says his son has Kate Hudson's "funny" personality.

The Muse frontman and the Hollywood actress welcomed Bingham into the world last July.

The 34-year-old singer finds it tough to be separated from his family when he is on tour with the band.

"It will be hard as Bing is 15 months now and at the age where his personality is starting to come through," Matt explained to British newspaper The Sun.

"He loves music and banging on the piano. He has Kate's personality. He's so funny. But we manage it all pretty well."

The star's family also has a big influence on his music.

Recently released single Madness was inspired by an argument Matt and Kate had.

"The madness is the to-ing and fro-ing in a relationship," he revealed.

"It just came out of a little spat and fight we had. The song is the transition of having the fight, digging my heels in and then after a few hours realising she's probably right."

Muse release their sixth album, The 2nd Law, on Monday.
