Matt LeBlanc makes red carpet debut with rumoured girlfriend

Matt LeBlanc has served as co-host for the BBC's Top Gear since 2016.

Matt LeBlanc made his first red carpet appearance with rumoured girlfriend Aurora Mulligan at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday (30Apr17).

The former Friends star met the Northern Irish assistant producer, who is 17 years his junior, on the set of the revamped Top Gear. They have been romantically linked since last year after they were spotted having a late-night hotel meeting in London and leaving in a car together in May (16).

Matt's spokesperson initially denied the romance, insisting it was "strictly a work relationship", but the couple appeared to make it official on Sunday, when Aurora joined him on the red carpet in New York to promote the last season of his comedy Episodes.

However, they didn't make any public displays of affection for the cameras and simply posed side by side, with Aurora wearing a black dress, tights and heeled boots and Matt dressed casually in a tuxedo jacket with denim jeans.

The 49-year-old actor joined the BBC motoring show as co-host with British presenter Chris Evans in 2016, and when Evans proved unpopular with viewers and resigned, Matt remained with the series for its 2017 run.

At the time the romance was reported, a source told The Sun newspaper, "This has become a romance. Matt spends more time with Aurora than anyone else in the crew and there's definitely a blossoming relationship there... It shows just how popular Matt has become behind the scenes in stark comparison to Chris' frosty connection with the team."

Aurora, 32, has even appeared in the show to play a bride whose wedding is interrupted when Matt turns up outside the venue in flashy car.

Matt was previously married to model Melissa McKnight for three years until 2006 and they have a 13-year-old daughter named Marina. He subsequently dated his Joey co-star Andrea Anders for nine years until 2015.
