Matthew Perry's TV tantrums
Matthew Perry can only make a grilled-cheese sandwich when in the kitchen.
The 45-year-old actor is no stranger to the world of TV having played the lovable Chandler Bing in sitcom Friends for a decade until its end in 2004.
While some small-screen stars may have no interest in tuning in to a series while away from the camera, the same can't be said for Matthew, who fully immersed himself into the drama show focused on people stranded on an island following a plane crash.
"Lost," he told People magazine when asked what his last TV obsession was. "I watched every episode and would sit there yelling at the TV. I really haven’t gotten hooked like that on another show since then."
As part of the interview, Matthew also recalled the last time he used public transport - in 1985, when he got the bus to Sherman Oaks Galleria in Los Angeles to see the movie Fletch.
When jet-setting, the American funnyman takes the time to "indulge" fellow passengers in conversation, but often finds himself nodding off when he isn't tuning into an on-flight movie.
While at home, Matthew likes nothing more than having some time out with a home-made treat.
"A grilled-cheese sandwich [was the last meal I made]. I don't make them often, but I make a good one," he smiled. "When I cut it in half, I make perfectly straight lines. It's usually a last-minute kind of meal, but it's really the only thing I can make."
Matthew is currently busy with his return to TV in new CBS comedy show The Odd Couple. It derives from Neil Simon's Broadway play which in 1968 was taken to the silver screen by Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau before being adapted for the box.
