Kevin McCloud's latest design is anything but grand - he is building a shed from recycled materials for his new TV show.
The four-part series, with a working title of Kevin McCloud: Man Made Home, will see him build the oak-framed cabin in the countryside from scratch in what he described as "a life changing experience".
He said: "This is the shed of my imagination; a shedtastic opportunity to explore off-grid ways of living, meet craftspeople of all ages and disciplines and ask whether living a life where we make and do is better than one where we simply buy and consume."
The designer and architect first found fame on the BBC show Homefront and has presented Grand Designs, which follows people trying to design and build their dream homes, since 1999.
Man Made Home will be on Channel 4 this Autumn.
