McFarlane's star-studded birthday
Seth MacFarlane celebrated his 40th birthday into the early hours of Saturday morning with a star-studded bash.
The Family Guy creator threw a bash at UCLA's Royce Hall, where several stars stopped by to help him ring in his 40th year at midnight.
E! News reports guests enjoyed an orchestra performance and two songs sung by Seth himself, including Singin' in the Rain.
In addition to Charlize and Olivia, pals at the swanky soirée included Jason Sudeikis, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Joe Jonas and Kristin Chenoweth, who reportedly gave Seth a standing ovation after his performance.
The evening was a brief interlude in the filmmaker's busy schedule.
The comedian is currently wrapping up production on forthcoming western A Million Ways to Die in the West, starring Charlize alongside Amanda Seyfriend and Liam Neeson.
Seth wrote and directed the screenplay, about a farmer fighting to win back the woman he loves.
He's also soon to begin production on the sequel to his hit comedy, Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg.
Work seems to be pouring in for Seth, who last month reportedly splashed out $11 million on a Beverly Hills office building to house his production empire.
The Ted director founded Fuzzy Door productions in 1996 and according to Variety closed a deal for a three-story structure to accommodate his growing staff last summer.
