McHale: I want a Community movie

Joel McHale says Community's continued success has been a surprise

Joel McHale has said he hopes Community will be recommissioned for a sixth series and a film.

The award-winning comedy, which also stars Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Donald Glover as mature students attending community college, was created by Dan Harmon and has been renewed for another season. The fifth series will start filming on August 20.

The 41-year-old, who plays lawyer Jeff Winger, said: "I hope we get to six seasons and a movie."

Joel, who also presents E! reality spoof The Soup, can't believe the NBC comedy series continues to be such a big hit.

"I knew the show was kind of special, because Dan Harmon's brain is like nobody else's brain. Getting out of your first season is a nutso process as well. But to be in our fifth season, I can't believe it," he said.

"And we've always had this lousy time slot. We've always been up against The Big Bang Theory, which is a juggernaut. And NFL football and March madness, and survived it. We're syndicated on Hulu which, whenever I look at the list, we're doing pretty well."

He added: "I think the success is that our viewers are so young that they don't watch the shows at the broadcast time. But they still watch."

Your income will get a big boost, thanks to an impressive work assignment. You will be very busy in the days ahead, which is beneficial. You have a tendency to rest on your laurels when you have lots of free time. A demanding schedule forces you to step up your game. If your energy starts to flag, make time for daily exercise. It seems counterintuitive, but moving your body can actually refresh you. Working with a partner is strongly advised. A collaborator will attend to practical matters.More
