Megan Fox: 40 is so old

Megan Fox

Megan Fox never wants to become an "old and boring" 40 year old.

The actress appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her new movie This Is 40, where she revealed she has a fear of getting older.

The 26-year-old beauty confessed she sees people who have reached their 40th birthday as being over the hill.

"40 sounds sooo old to me," Megan told US talk show host Jay. "When you are little and your parents are 40, you think how they are so old and boring. I never want to be like that. I try not to think about it, as it is so far in the future."

The new mother also explained how traumatic her pregnancy with her three-month-old son Noah was. Megan likened her severe morning sickness to the Twilight movies, and revealed she became convinced she was giving birth to an extra-terrestrial being.

"I was here last February and I was a little bit pregnant then, I was so sick, really nauseous. I had pretty bad morning sickness for the first 12 weeks and it was pretty tough. After that I had the perfect pregnancy. It was so bad for me that I felt like I was birthing a vampire baby, like the one from Twilight, what happens to Bella when she is having the cold sweats all the time...I felt like that was happening as I had no vitamins or nutrition," Megan explained. "My first thought was I'm having a vampire, or an alien or something not human was happening inside me!"

The Transformers star continued to share her rough ride during her pregnancy. Megan's troubles continued right up until she gave birth, which was so sudden that all her pre-planned ideas went out of the window.

"I didn't go through any of those phases of labour, I went from stage zero to five! I thought I was going to be tough and the nurses would be like, 'She's a warrior princess, she doesn't need an epidural, she's amazing and we are such big fans!' But as soon as I got out of the car I was already crying and begging for an epidural," Megan joked. "I was asking the security guard for an epidural! I was grabbing him and saying, 'I need it now!'"
