Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks' reunion is solely for TOWIE, co-star claims
The couple split earlier this year (17), after failing to get their romance back on track following Pete's admission that he had been sending sexts to his ex-girlfriend.
Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks' rekindled relationship is solely for the sake of reality show The Only Way Is Essex, their co-star Jamie Reed has claimed.
The couple split earlier this year (17), after failing to get their romance back on track following Pete's admission that he had been sending sexts to his ex-girlfriend. However, they recently sparked rumours they were back together, which appeared to be confirmed when they jetted off to Las Vegas for a "make or break" holiday.
While neither Megan nor Pete have commented on their reunion on social media, co-star Jamie told The Sun newspaper that despite the couple giving things another try, it's all to do with TOWIE ratings.
"They’re back together," he confirmed, adding: "They are one of the couples that are always on and off and that’s the way a lot of couples are.
"They’re giving it a go for the sake of the show. The Only Way Is Essex puts such a strain on relationships some people go backwards and not forwards."
Jamie is no stranger to living out relationship drama on the ITVBe show either. He is currently dating Jade Lewis, but things have reportedly got prickly between Jade and his ex-girlfriend Amber Turner, who is said to have been trying to get back in touch with her former beau in recent weeks, including turning up at his door in the early hours of the morning one day earlier this year.
Jade and Amber are currently on a Unique Parties cruise in Mykonos, and are said to have rowed on the ship, with the fallout from the argument expected to play a part in a storyline for the next series of TOWIE.
"There are a few things going (on) - there’s no drama, drama, it’s just a bit awkward," Jamie added, attempting to play down the situation. “Where Jade is new to the cast she didn’t want to make it a big introduction, but I think Amber has ruffled a few feathers now, so it’s heading that way.”
