Mel C sees the Spice Girls musical having the same success as Queen's show.

The British group came together last month to announce details of Viva Forever!, a West End production based on their hit songs.

Mel hopes the show can draw in the same kind of attention as We Will Rock You - which is based on the music of rock band Queen.

"Absolutely. A band like Queen have such a huge international fan base - that musical has done so well," she gushed to the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"We're so excited about having our own songs brought to life every night on a West End stage, we'd love it to go to Broadway and different theatres around the world."

Mel has revealed the perks of being famous. The singer loves coming across fans who appreciate her work.

"It's really lovely when you get positive comments from people, when they're happy to meet you and have photographs with you," she smiled.
