Michael Clarke Duncan 'fought hard'

Michael Clarke Duncan

Michael Clarke Duncan's friends and family were "not giving up on him" in his final days.

The Green Mile actor passed away at the age of 54 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday after suffering from a heart attack two months ago.

Michael never fully recovered from his initial ailment and it was clear to loved ones that he battled to stay alive until the end.

"He fought, he fought really, really hard," his good friend Holly Robinson Peete told Access Hollywood.

"I saw him open his eyes... There were moments of hope. There was a lot of hope and [Michael's fiancée Omorosa Manigault] was not giving up on him."

Omorosa is reportedly still suffering immensely following the death of her love.

Apparently the couple were perfect for one another.

"She's doing as well as she can," Holly said. "They loved each other so much. They just had something really magical."

A public viewing of Michael's casket will be hosted on Sunday at the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in Glendale, California.

A private ceremony celebrating Michael's life will be held on Monday September 10.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
