Michael Fassbender doesn't rely on looks

Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender takes career risks because he doesn't want to be known only for his looks.

The actor famously bared all in his movie Shame, in which he played a sex addict. He has no qualms about doing that as he thinks people get too hung up on appearances.

"Sometimes people tell me that I take some risks. Thank God that's the case! I don't do this job to be complacent about my image," he told madamelefigaro.fr.

Shame was directed by Steve McQueen and the famed filmmaker helped Michael make some decisions about the movies he takes on.

The 35-year-old is now determined to test himself and not end his career worrying he was too safe, or too scared.

"I understood, with the director Steve McQueen, that being uncomfortable forces me to go beyond my limits. His argument is that we have nothing to lose given that we are all going to die one day: why not tempt everything? He is right. Why should I spare myself," Michael added.

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
