Michael Fassbender: Relationship just unfolded

Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender's new romance just "unfolded".

The hunky actor is dating his Shame co-star Nicole Beharie. The pair have previously remained tight-lipped about their relationship, with Michael now explaining it is relatively new.

"Nothing happened while we were filming," he told GQ. "We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that."

The 35-year-old revealed the burgeoning romance is not without its problems. Although both he and Nicole want to make things work, it can be a struggle to make time for each other.

"I'm seeing Nicole, we're trying to see each other as often as possible," he explained.

"That's kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England."

Reports the pair were dating first surfaced when they were spotted together in New York City.

The actor recently discussed how important timing has been in his life, saying he feels lucky to have experienced so much success.

"Sometimes you do think, 'Is life mapped out?' All these little things have this domino effect - knock one over and you reach this one over here," he told UK magazine Elle. "Timing is everything."
