Michael Murray and co-star marry, expecting baby
Chad Michael Murray has revealed that he and his Chosen co-star Sarah Roemer have tied the knot – and are now expecting their first baby.
The actor confirmed the happy news in a statement via his representative. The pregnancy revelation comes after news broke that the pair had married in secret.
“Chad and Sarah are extremely happy and excited, and enjoying their life together,” the statement read. “We please ask that their privacy be respected at this special and personal time.”
The pair began dating in early 2014 after meeting on the set of the action-adventure series, which airs on streaming service Crackle.
They have been loved-up ever since, with Chad, 33, revealing to E! News that he and his 30-year-old actress girlfriend had tied the knot.
According to the outlet, Chad has yet to reveal any further details about the nuptials.
He did, however, open up about his relationship in a recent interview with E!, explaining that being in love brings out his romantic side.
"I'm a traditionalist, I'm a car door guy," he said. "I do everything I can to treat my lady right."
The marriage isn’t the first time Chad has walked down the aisle with a co-star.
He was previously married to One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush, for just five months from April to September 2005.
Sophia recently appeared on Bravo show What What Happens Live, and was asked about the short-lived union during the programme.
Following their 2006 divorce, Sophia and Chad had to continue working together on One Tree Hill – in which their characters Brooke and Lucas had an on/off relationship as well.
But Sophia added that being made to work alongside her ex-husband forced her to “deal” with the split.
"At the end of the day, we're grownups, and I actually think it's interesting that when people split in a way that's unpleasant, they usually just go on quite literally hating each other—or the person in my situation hates the other person, whatever—but when you have to work with somebody for another half a decade, you kind of have to deal with it,” she said.
“Because for me, at the end of the day, my job is my priority and so I think at the end of it, it really let me just let go of it."
