Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed up to star in a new TV comedy.
The Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress will play the female lead in Crazy Ones, a comedy about the advertising industry from Ally McBeal creator David E Kelley, Deadline reported, which is being piloted for CBS.
Robin Williams will star in the show as Simon, the brilliant head of an ad agency, and Sarah will play his daughter Sydney, who works with her father as the agency's creative director.
Sarah, 35, will be making her TV comedy debut in the pilot, but she has had some comedy roles on the big screen, such as the Scooby Doo movies.
She married Freddie Prinze Jr in 2002 and put her career on the back burner to become a mother to three-year-old Charlotte and son Rocky, who was born last September.
Her last major film role was in The Return in 2006 and following a few voice roles on animations, she starred in TV crime drama Ringer in 2011.
