Michelle Williams: Segel is surprisingly tall
Michelle Williams was oblivious to her boyfriend Jason Segel's true height when she first started dating him.
The actress firmly believes you shouldn't try and change yourself for anyone, something she started to realise as her romance took off.
Petite Michelle had no idea that Jason was so tall until he told her his exact measurement, which is when she decided to take steps to improve their height difference.
“I didn’t realise [he] was so tall [6ft. 4ins.] I thought, 'Hey, man, you’re cramping my style!'" Michelle laughed to the US edition of InStyle magazine. "I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn’t me and I just gave up.”
Michelle stars as Glinda the Good Witch in the highly-anticipated release Oz the Great and Powerful.
She is joined by A-list actresses Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz, who all grace the March edition of the magazine.
The three leading ladies are quizzed about what it is that makes their homes like no other.
Rachel claims the fun factor makes family time special.
“Michelle’s daughter and my son are about the same age, so they went to camp together, and we took them bowling. It was really fun for me and Michelle too, because you don’t get that many mommy play dates in our business," Rachel explained to the magazine.
Mother-of-one Michelle mirrored Rachel's sentiments and agreed that home is the place where she feels happiest.
“I cook and clean a lot these days," Michelle continued. "I’m in a very domestic cycle, and I happen to love it. I feel like this is a real expression of my love for my daughter. Not the only one, but an important one. As a parent, you want the kid to come back to a place where it seems like the walls are made of feather down.”
Michelle is quite an emotional character who treasures things which bring back memories. The 32-year-old's daughter Matilda is now seven years old and growing up a little too quickly for her liking.
"I keep things for sentimental reasons. I’ve kept all of Matilda’s baby clothes. Even the ones with stains and rips,” Michelle confessed.
"The other day I was with my daughter at a newsstand and she turned to me and said, ‘Mommy, why do all those ladies have their boobs out?’ And I was going to talk about the power dynamic and society, but I just said, ‘Sweetie, I really just don’t know.’ She just wagged her little head.”
