Mila's pickled pregnancy cravings
Mila Kunis has opened up about her pregnancy for the first time - and confessed she has been craving stinky sauerkraut and pickles.
The 30-year-old actress confirmed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show she is expecting her first child with boyfriend of two years Ashton Kutcher. She also confirmed their engagement.
Mila told Ellen the couple know the sex of their baby and have already picked out a name, but are keeping it secret, and she admitted they have managed to conceal her pregnancy and their engagement for some time.
The Ted star, who was born in the Ukraine where they eat a lot of pickled food, revealed: " I eat sauerkraut all day long.
"This is the worst craving to have because sauerkraut smells and so every time you open up a jar it just reeks in the whole kitchen. It's not like ice cream where everything smells lovely...
"So vinegar-based food I guess is what I'm craving."
The Black Swan star revealed fiance Ashton, 36, had stocked their outside fridge with all the stinky food she was craving.
She revealed: "He kind of pre-empted this. He assumed that I was gonna have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food. Just like pickles, and sauerkraut, or like anchovies, and ice creams... just in case at one point during this pregnancy [I need it].
"And it happened last week, I was like oh my God, I need a pickle. Like it was just the weirdest thing. Like I needed this pickle and he was like 'hold on a second' and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time."
The Two And A Half Men star is also learning Russian so he and Mila can both talk to their baby in the language.
The actress revealed: "He's been taking classes for probably like six months now. He does it twice a week. A woman comes to the house to give him lessons. It's really, really great."
And Mila, who last year was named FHM's sexiest woman in the world, also revealed she is determined to have a natural birth, and doesn't even want to have an epidural.
She told Ellen: "I know, I'm crazy. I mean, I did this to myself I might as well do it right."
Mila and Ashton first met when they were co-stars on That '70s Show from 1998 to 2006.
Mila appears on Ellen's Mother's Day Show which airs in the US today (May 9) and the interview can be viewed online at www.ellentv.com/videos/0-or6hisgg/?autoplay=true.
