Miles Teller has taken to Twitter to hit out at the way he has been portrayed in the latest issue of Esquire’s US edition.

The 28-year-old Fantastic Four actor was featured in the American edition of the popular magazine for their September 2015 issue in an article entitled, Miles Teller Is Young, Talented, and Doesn't Give a Rat's A** What You Think.

The author of the piece, Anna Peele, came right out and insulted him in her copy, writing: “So yeah, he is kind of a d**k”.

And Miles is incensed over the write-up, because he does not feel rude in the slightest.

“@esquire couldn't be more wrong. I don't think there's anything cool or entertaining about being a d**k or an a**hole. Very misrepresenting, (sic)” he wrote on Twitter Wednesday evening.

Writer Anna seemed to centre on some type of perceived machismo in the article.

She included quotes made by Miles which could be construed as vain.

"I was thinking about that today, how I probably think I'm better-looking than the public thinks I am," Miles laughed. "I was in one of these forums about a film I did, and it's like, 'This dude is so ugly! How does he get f**king parts?' 'Well, he's not, like, traditionally handsome, but . . .' And that's kind of what it is. Maybe it's because I came from a small town, but I always did well for myself."

The journalist also labelled Miles a “tough guy” sarcastically when she quoted him speaking about how he is adapting to newfound fame.

"I don't give a sh*t," he said. "I can either censor myself or not, and you're always trying to figure it out. It's how you deal with the paparazzi. Do you not do what you would do? Do you live your life with all these filters and censors because everyone has a camera? Or do you f**king dance how you would dance and have people say, 'Oh, he's on drugs'? I was drinking and was at a f**king Brett Dennen f**king concert."
