Miley Cyrus documentary coming soon
Miley Cyrus' preparation for her new album is being chronicled by cameras for a MTV documentary.
The 20-year-old We Can't Stop singer is the subject of an hour-long segment on the network that is already in production.
MTV programming president Susanne Daniels announced the project at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The documentary will follow Miley as she prepares for the release of her new album in addition to chronicling her rise to fame as an internationally known "fashion icon and pop icon", according to the report.
Miley opened up earlier this week about growing up in the spotlight as the star of Disney's Hannah Montana.
The star said she feels a sense of freedom since shedding the good girl image and becoming more true to herself.
"I feel like it's a much better time for me because I don't owe anyone anything. I have always been a person who when I work for someone I show respect and do what I say I'm going to do so, I finished up my show and did what I had to do then took two years to work on my record and now I'm able to play that for the world," she told UK TV show Daybreak.
Miley's MTV documentary will air in the fall.
Its title has not yet been released.
MTV has previously produced similar projects about Drake and Demi Lovato.
The network also announced Ke$ha's reality series, Crazy Beautiful Life, will continue into a second season.
The show premiered earlier this year and was shot by the singer's brother, filmmaker Lagan Sebert.
