Milla Jovovich: My daughter changed my life

Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich's daughter taught her there's more to life than appearing on the cover of a magazine.

The actress has four-year-old Ever with her director husband Paul W. S. Anderson. Milla credits her young daughter with making her appreciate the things that truly matter.

"My daughter has really changed my life. She has taught me that it doesn't have to always be about the work. With Ever I learnt to slow down, enjoy the fruits of the past," she told Italian magazine Myself.

"As a young woman I ran around so much! The risk for me is to reach 50 years of age and then ask myself, 'But what did I do in real life?' Sure, there are the covers of magazines and fashion photographs, but those are not sufficient to explain the full meaning of existence."

Milla wants to take more time out to enjoy the simpler pleasures in life with her family.

The 36-year-old Hollywood star used to take advantage of the exotic destinations she visited.

"Until now I have mostly worked. Since I was 16, I have travelled a lot, I've been to hundreds of places around the world, but if I were to say that I have seen something or that I remember where I went, I would be lying," she sighed.

"Now I have made a pact with myself: I want to start travelling with my daughter Ever, and solely for pleasure, for vacation."

Gemini:

Someone will steal credit for your work, which is maddening. Drawing attention to the problem will only make you look petty. You're better off accepting the situation with quiet dignity and grace. Move on to the next assignment, but make sure to sign your name to every piece of work that is submitted. Tell your boss what you are doing on a regular basis. You'll sound like a pest, but at least it's better than getting stabbed in the back.More
