Sienna Miller's jaw dropped to the floor when she received a Christmas gift from her godmother years ago.
The 30-year-old actress and her fiancé Tom Sturridge welcomed daughter Marlowe in July.
Apparently sexy lingerie played a big role in Marlowe's conception.
"My poor godmother was trying to be current and went to Agent Provocateur and bought me some really nice lace underwear that looked relatively prim. I was thrilled to open up this gorgeous underwear, because girls love getting nice underwear," she revealed on The Jonathan Ross Christmas Special.
"Then I held the knickers up and realised they were crotchless. She didn't realise and she was horrified. There was this moment of kind of 'thank you so much'.
"And then I got pregnant, so there we go."
Sienna Miller was pelted with boxes of seagulls and pigeons while making Hitchcock drama The Girl to recreate the famous director's pivotal scenes in 1963 film The Birds.
She was pregnant at the time and found the filming process difficult.
"I was bombarded with live pigeons, seagulls, the works," she said.
"Beaks and claws and pregnancy and morning sickness."
