Minaj, Martin join MAC campaign
Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin have been named as the new faces of MAC's Viva Glam campaign.
The singers, who are shooting the new ad with acclaimed photographer David La Chappelle in Miami, join an established list of pop stars who have backed the campaign, including Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper, Black Eyed Peas' Fergie and Mary J Blige.
"The MAC Aids Fund announces Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin as its newest spokespersons to represent the 2012 Viva Glam campaign launching in February 2012," a statement from the cosmetics brand said.
"The two are on a set in Miami today shooting the campaign visuals with David La Chappelle. Nicki and Ricky join a cadre of A-list talent representing the fund over the years including current spokesperson Lady Gaga."
The Viva Glam campaign, which has already raised $224 million US dollars, aims to raise money and awareness through its lipsticks and lipglosses, with MAC donating 100 per cent of the sale price to fight HIV/Aids.
