Modern Family stars to host Billboards
Modern Family stars Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen will host this year's Billboard Music Awards.
The pair - who played married couple Phil and Claire Dunphy in the hit US TV show - are teaming up again to lead proceedings at the prestigious ceremony, according to EW.
Ty and Julie both collected Emmys in the Supporting Actor categories last year and are well known for delivering witty one liners. They are set to follow in the footstep of comic star Ken Jeong - who hosted the event in 2011.
At last year's ceremony Eminem was named Artist of the Year, while Nicki Minaj was crowned the Rising Star of 2011.
Adele is leading the way this year with a host of nominations, including Top Artist, Top Female and Top Album, while her smash hit song Rolling in the Deep is a contender in seven categories.
Rihanna has received 13 nods, while Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are close behind with ten nominations each. Drake, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Scotty McCreery, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars are also in the running for top prizes.
The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 20. The show will be broadcast live on ABC.
