Monteith, Michele remain on Glee

Cory Monteith is back for another season of Glee

Cory Monteith and his girlfriend Lea Michele are staying on as regulars on the fifth series of Glee, it has been confirmed.

The couple, who play Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry on the hit US show, join original cast members Chris Colfer (Kurt), Naya Rivera (Santana), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) and Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester), reported E! News.

Chord Overstreet (Sam), Darren Criss (Blaine) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) are also returning for the upcoming season.

Newcomers Melissa Benoist (Marley), Jacob Artist (Jake), Becca Tobin (Kitty), Blake Jenner (Ryder) and Alex Newell (Unique) have been promoted from recurring cast members to series regulars.

Jayma Mays, who plays Will's wife Emma, and Dot Marie Jones (coach Shannon Beiste) are expected to make guest appearances at some point, but will not be series regulars.

US network Fox has picked up the show, created and led by Ryan Murphy, for another two seasons. Sources hint that the new series will take place in New York and Ohio again, with Artie joining Rachel, Kurt and Santana in New York.

Lea, who posted a photo with her co-stars from a shoot, said it has been fun reuniting.

"Having the best time at our #Glee cast #Season5 gallery shoot! I can't believe it's our 5th season! Time flies when you're having fun:) It was so nice to see everyone & be back w/ the gang! Can't wait to start filming soon!" she tweeted.

Nobody expects perfection, especially at this stage of the game. The more gentle you are with yourself, the easier it will be to master this role.
