Demi Moore and Russell Brand reportedly bonded over their "spiritual" sides.
The actress and the British comedian hit the headlines last week when news they had become friends emerged.
The 50-year-old American star and notorious ladies' man Russell reportedly shared more than just a mutual enjoyment of yoga.
Both stars have recently experienced high-profile marriage splits, following Russell's divorce from Katy Perry and the breakdown of Demi's union to Ashton Kutcher.
"Demi and Russell have both been through marriage break-ups in the past year," a source explained to British magazine Grazia. "They are both very spiritual people".
Russell and Demi allegedly began meeting up just before Christmas last year. The pair reportedly found common ground in problems stemming from their troubled love lives, which brought them closer together. Last week they were spotted visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with friends, which fuelled the speculation they had become closer.
"Demi and Russell met through mutual friends and they really connected," an insider spilled. "They've got so much in common and Russell's been introducing her to all kinds of new yoga moves. He's also teaching her about meditation. Russell is a real charmer and she's enjoying hanging out with him."
RadarOnline are reporting that Demi was also present during Russell's protest in a yoga class last week. The outrageous funny man apparently staged a mass walkout during the session at The Golden Bridge Yoga studio in Los Angeles. The cause for the protest was the studio's alleged treatment of the 37-year-old's friend.
"Golden Bridge is not treating my friend in a respectful manner," Russell said, according to RadarOnline. "After years of dutiful service, they refuse to let her out of her contract. If you'd like to continue to study with her, follow me!"
