More tears at X Factor auditions

A young mother breaks down in tears before trying to impress the judges in The X Factor.

Rebecca, 23, travelled from Liverpool to the auditions in Manchester to try to make her dream of being a singer come true.

The mother-of-two cries when she says she thought she would never become a singer after she first got pregnant.

She said: "It just means so much to me. I've never wanted to be anything else... I'm just gonna do my best when I get on that stage."

She impresses guest judge - and Pussycat Doll - Nicole Scherzinger with her version of Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come.

The American singer said: "Rebecca, your voice really moves me and I love to listen to you. It's okay to be vulnerable in your music but you still have to connect to the people that you're singing to, so just keep that in mind."

Other contestants include 19-year-old Chloe from Wakefield.

The teenager, who describes herself as a "full-time yummy mummy", gets a round of boos from the crowd after she comes out with a string of excuses for her poor performance.

But she does get some praise from an unlikely source with Simon telling her: "Chloe this is the most frustrating audition I've ever sat in, in my life. I've heard more rubbish from you in the last five minutes than I've ever heard and yet still I think there's something there."

::The X Factor is on at 7.30pm on ITV1.
