Morgan: Grammer 'unprofessional'

Kelsey Grammer apparently ran out of an interview with Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan has claimed that US star Kelsey Grammer fled just before a planned interview on his show when he saw a picture of his ex-wife.

The Piers Morgan Tonight host said on Twitter that the former Cheers and Frasier star Kelsey left the building after seeing the image of his ex in the intro to his CNN show.

"Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange," he said.

Piers added: "So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex wife Camille in the opening to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before. I had a very friendly chat with Kelsey backstage, He said he was really looking forward to the interview. Weird."

The tweet prompted Simon Cowell to joke: "I know how he feels," and ask: "Do you want me to call him for you?"

Piers, who had told his followers earlier that Kelsey would be one of the guests on the show, later tweeted: "I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!"

The TV star and his new wife Kayte recently had their first child together, Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer.

He married the former flight attendant in New York in February 2011, just after his divorce became final from his third wife, Real Housewives star Camille.
