Morgan’s fiancee thanks well-wishers

Tracy Morgan’s fiancée appreciates the support she’s received since his car accident on Saturday.

The 30 Rock actor was riding in a limousine on Saturday, June 7 in New Jersey when it was involved in a collision with a tractor trailer on a turnpike in the early hours of the morning. The accident has left Tracy in a critical condition and his friend and fellow comedian James McNair was killed.

“Thank you so much for the outpour of support following the accident. Your well wishes mean more than you can imagine, and I know that Tracy can feel the love and positive energy," Megan said in a statement on her Facebook page.

The 45-year-old was travelling with four others in the back of the limousine, including James, who was sometimes known as Jimmy Mack, and fellow comics Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton. The two passengers in the front of the vehicle were unhurt, as the tractor trailer smashed into the back of the limousine.

“Along with everyone else, I too hope that Jeff and Ardie have full and speedy recoveries, And to Jimmy Mack, you will truly by missed. You have always been very special to Tracy and all of us, and the world will not be the same without you,” Megan continued. “Please continue to keep Tracy and the others in your thoughts and prayers throughout the recovery."

Tracy was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey after the accident. On Sunday, a statement was released to say that the Saturday Night Live star was “receiving excellent care”.

Tracy and Megan have a daughter together, 11-month-old Maven Sonae.
