MTV Awards: Northern Ireland born Victoria Secret model linked to Miley Cyrus watches her host awards
All eyes were on Miley Cyrus as she hosted the annual MTV Awards donning a multitude of weird and wonderful outfits.
The elite of the music world gathered in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the awards bash.
The Wrecking Ball singer took the red carpet by storm on her arrival wearing a revealing silver belt dress.
Also showing her support for Miley's hosting debut at the star-studded event was the Victoria's Secret model daughter from Northern Ireland diplomat who the Wrecking Ball singer was rumoured to have been dating at one stage.
Stella Maxwell, born to Northern Irish parents Maurice Maxwell and Stella Maynes, has been pictured cosying up to the Wrecking Ball singer in a series of photos posted on her Instagram.
Stella (24) was later seen at an after awards bash of American fashion designer Jeremy Scott's bash at Union Station in Los Angeles.
All the big names of the music industry were out in force including Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Justin Beiber to name a few.
There were plenty of show-stopping moments but among the most talked about moment of the night was when rapper Kanye West announced his bid to run for President in the 2020 election campaign.
It is understood there are already t-shirts available with the slogan Kanye for President.
West received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from singer Taylor Swift - six years after he famously interrupted her acceptance speech for an award at the same ceremony.
In a long and rambling speech at the ceremony in Los Angeles, West admitted he had smoked something before arriving to calm his nerves.
After holding his head in his hands for a period of time he added: "It's about ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."
In another dramatic moment during the show, rapper Nicki Minaj appeared to launch in to a rant at host Miley Cyrus after Cyrus said in an earlier interview that Minaj was being a poor sport about not receiving a nomination for video of the year.
