Myers welcomes baby girl

Mike Myers and his other half Kelly Tisdale welcomed daughter Sunday Molly, their second child.

The couple have been married since 2001 and already have a two and a half year old son named Spike.

And now their firstborn has a little sister called Sunday Molly.

“We couldn’t be happier,” the proud parents told People magazine.

Mike has spoken before about the joy he finds in family life, and how it’s changed his perspective on the world.

According to the 50-year-old, parenthood made him happier than he ever thought possible.

“Anyone who tells you fatherhood is the greatest thing that can happen to you, they are understating it. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life,” the actor told Deadline while promoting his directorial debut, Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon last year.

“I knew I wanted to be a father, I didn’t know it was going to be this awesome or that my kid would come out so beautiful and lovely.”

Mike went on to explain that making Supermensch then having his first child felt like it was meant to be.

The Canadian star says talking to writer-and-producer Shep while filming the documentary made him realise how much he wanted to have children some day.

“Shep and I have had many conversations about fatherhood, he is the ambassador of babies. I’d tell him about a movie and he’s say, ‘Great Mike, so when are you going to have kids?’ I’d say, yeah, umm, well… I had a great dad and always wanted to have the experience and I’m having it now. You’re spot on, it’s no accident that my unbelievable gift of becoming a dad is connected to Shep’s story,” Mike said.
