Naomie Harris: I'm too old to be Bond Girl

Naomie Harris feels she is too old to be called a "Bond Girl".

The 36-year-old actress is currently promoting her latest movie, the new James Bond thriller Skyfall.

In the action film, the British star plays field agent Eve - who later turns out to be sexy secretary Moneypenny.

And while Naomie is thrilled to portray one of the secret agents iconic female sidekicks, she explained why she doesn't want to be branded with the famous Bond Girl title.

"[Co-star] Bérénice [Marlohe] and I are in our thirties so I think it is more appropriate that we are called Bond Women, rather than Bond Girls. Because we are not girls anymore," she told UK TV show Lorraine.

Naomie also joked about the unusual skills she had to acquire for her part.

Other than the standard fitness and combat training, the star learned a traditional craft to perform in what has been described a "sensual shaving scene".

"I went to barber school for three weeks," she explained, before adding further details of her intensive regime. "I was training for two months before the movie even started; I was out two hours a day, five days a week with my trainer. And I would also go to the gun range three days a week, so I did a lot of training. And the stunt driving…"
